Dear State College faculty and librarians,

The funding request for the MSCA's 2009-2012 collective bargaining agreement was completed by the Department of Higher Education earlier this week and was sent to Governor Patrick yesterday afternoon (Thursday, July 23). The governor has 45 days to submit the request to the Legislature. The DHE has promised to send me a copy of the request. I will forward it to chapter presidents when my office receives it.

Although the law provides that the DHE has 30 days from ratification to prepare the funding request, it took them more than 60 days. The APA and AFSMCE funding requests had not yet been submitted as of July 23.
